Noel Scales
Noel Scales is a 19-year-old freshman at Temple University majoring in Broadcasting, with a minor in Music. She graduated from the Girard Academic Music Progrram, and has also studied piano, voice, music composition and music theory. Noel has been performing since the age of 11, and was one of the PYPM poets featured in the 2009 HBO docuseries, Brave New Voices.

- Brundibar - at age 11 with the Philadelphia Children's Opera Company a nationally televised opera.
- Preformed at the Welcome America celebration on Chestnut Street 2007.
- Performed at Senator Vincent Hughes and Sheryl Lee Ralph Scholarship fundraiser.
- Performed at the Black Golf Legends Luncheon in Sicklerville, New Jersey
- Performed for Resources for Human Development’s Night of Jazz featuring the jazz group Arpeggio at the Philadelphia Clef Club
- NAACP ACT-SO Gold, Silver and Bronze medal for music composition, poetry, and music (vocals) respectively.
- Represented Philadelphia in the International competition held in Disney World.
- Performed for Kindred and the Family Soul at TLA on South Street
- Featured in reality documentary on HBO about an International spoken word Competition (aired in April 2008) entitled Russell Simmons Presents, Brave New Voices.
- Performed as feature at Art Noir for the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival 2009.
- Solo spoken word artist performing at venues such as Art Noir, The Arts Bank, 107.9 The Beat FM, Power 99FM and 103AM talk radio and University of Penn's Rotunda.
