Denice Frohman to explore Body Image in Free Writing Workshop on Sat., Dec. 11
On Saturday, December 11, PYPM Mentor, Denice Frohman, will lead a Free Writing Workshop where poets will explore body image and perceptions/distortions of beauty within self and amidst an increasing critical, media-driven, "Photoshop" society. She will focus on how we can create a positive self-image when the re-inforced expectations are often unattainable. Denice is an international poet, lyricist and educator, whose works explores multi-culturalism and the “in-betweeness” that exists in us all. She can currently be seen on TV, radio and print as part of Philadelphia’s city-wide “UnLitter Us” Campaign, which uses spoken word to raise awareness about the impact of litter in our neighborhoods.
