Greater Philadelphia Cares Day

Volunteer-a-thon: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Philly Youth Poetry Movement has created a team for Greater Philadelphia Cares Day! Join your fellow Philadelphians for this volunteer-a-thon, when we’ll work side by side to put a fresh coat of paint on classrooms, organize libraries, and clean up play yards in schools throughout the city. Thousands of children will benefit from a few hours of your labor. Volunteer with PYPM!! It’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Let's show Philadelphia that PYPM cares!

We have been assigned to help clean up the garden at Laurel Hill Mansion (located in Fairmount Park, off Kelly Drive). Our service project begins at 10 a.m. so please arrive by 9:30 a.m. to get signed in and receive instructions. The service project will go until 2 p.m.

Following the Volunteer-a-Thon, Greater Philadelphia Cares will be hosting a Family Friendly Happy Hour at the Field House, 1150 Filbert Street, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
