M'Reld Green to lead PYPM Writing Workshop on Sat., Oct. 9
On Saturday, October 9, PYPM will welcome special guest M'Reld Green as she leads our Free Writing Workshop from 12-3 p.m. at Science Leadership Academy.
M'Reld is a talented and gifted poet, writer and spirit. Born and raised in Chicago, she started writing at an early age and performing poetry at numerous venues around the Chicagoland area. She has been sharing her thoughts professionally through the form of spoken word poetry to many audiences. M'Reld has won several Poetry Slams including National Black Pride 2005, Runaway Wordsmith 2004 and Rainbow Push Coalition 2004. M'Reld was featured on the 5th season of HBO Def Poetry Jam where she performed "Ready For Love". Her poetry speaks to a variety of issues including poverty, social injustice, and real life experiences.
